Strange Darter and Barbel relationship

This African Darter Anhinga rufa was photographed on the Kavango River with the Barbel attached to its face on 20 October 2005. Apparently, shortly after the photo was taken, the bird took flight and flew off strongly with the fish still attached to its face!
